Game Thread: Josh Tomlin will attempt to keep baseballs in earth's atmosphere against Nationals

Can Tomlin hold the Nationals homerless? Probably not, but maybe he can keep the runs low, at least.

Carlos Carrasco, Corey Kluber, and Trevor Bauer have all had good starts in their latest outings, is Josh Tomlin next? The Little Cowboy was shelled his last time out against the New York Yankees, allowing seven earned runs over 4.2 innings. He also allowed two walks which, for him, is a pretty high total. He has yet to issue more than two free bases in any start, and he has only does twice in four starts. Home runs remain a major issue for Tomlin, though. He has allowed at least one all but two of his 20 starts this season.

This is the part where I would plug our cool new Tyler Naquin shirt if he was starting today, but since Gio Gonzalez is a lefty, Rajai Davis gets the start in center. Sigh, if only I could promote this cool new Tyler Naquin t-shirt somewhere.
