After one additional move this afternoon, the Indians roster is more or less set to make its playoffs push. The Indians added Brian Guyer and designated Juan Uribe for assignment. As noted earlier today, one more move is needed to get Guyer onto the 25-man roster.
For the actual baseball taking place today, the Indians send Danny Salazar to the mound. He can add to his Cy Young candidate resume with a strong performance tonight. He'll also likely have some help from the offense, as the Twins are giving Jose Berrios his fifth-ever start. So far, the Twins' top pitching prospect has struggled to transition to the majors.
Jose Ramirez starts at third base, and this is likely where he will spend the rest of the season with Uribe gone. The outfield is set for now, with Guyer likely coming on as a fourth outfielder / Chisenplatoon. Tyler Naquin will never regress, and Rajai Davis continues to be effective enough in the absence of Michael Brantley. I have a hunch that Almonte is the player who will be booted to make room for Guyer.
Also, Andrew Miller may or may not make his Indians debut tonight.
