Cleveland Indians vs. Detroit Tigers

It's good to be back home, isn't it? After a spending much of the first half of the season on the road — the Indians payed 46 road games against 35 home games — the Tribe return on the 4th of July to take on the Detroit Tigers.

Danny Salazar can make an on voters (Or whoever makes the coaches pick if we're being serious) for the All-Star game with tonight's national television audience. No matter how you prefer to measure, Salazar continues to provide more value to his team than only a handful of other pitchers. His change-up tears apart families and even though his BB/9 hovers near nine, nobody can put the ball into play.

Daniel David Norris starts for the Tigers. With a name like that, and this beard, I'm pretty sure he fell out of a spaghetti western in which everyone just calls him "Kid". The young gun makes his third start this season. As early as 2014, he ranked as the Blue Jay's #1 prospect, but came to Detroit last season in the David Price trade.

I have no interesting notes about the offense today. I imagine there will be nine hitters, one of whom will be designated specifically for that purpose, rather than allowing Salazar to hit.
