Lucroyless Indians set to sweep Athletics

Crazy things are happening in the front office, but baseball will still happen on the field.

Kind of a slow news day, isn't it?


While The Indians front office is doing everything in their power to bolster the starting lineup, some arrangement of men will indeed play against the Athletics today. Corey Kluber will start for the Tribe in an effort to complete a sweep. The A's will allow Sonny Gray to limp back out to the mound, attempting to add a win to his 5-9 record.


Will the Indians add Jonathan Lucroy? Who knows at this point? Since he elected to use his trade waiver, any deal for the Brewers catcher is probably dead. There might be some magic that the Indians can use to revive the acquisition, but at this point it would be one hell of trick.
