Let's Talk Tribe Podcast Ep. 38: And a little baseball

In this week's episode, Jason and I discuss Pokemon GO, soccer, football, basketball, All-Star games, Star Wars, oh and baseball or whatever.

Kevin Sousa-USA TODAY Sports

Don't lie to me and say that it only has been four days since our last real baseball game. Clearly, it has been months since we watched Carlos Carrasco take a mound or Francisco Lindor destroy a baseball's dream of making it into the green grass of Progressive Field's outfield. What's that? It has only been four days? Oh my.

Among the weirdest things to happen over the All-Star break is the fact that ESPN called David Ortiz a first baseman. Even more, the 10th best first baseman in baseball history. Really? Does Ortiz deserve that credit, as well as an entire year's worth of celebrating because he's retiring? Whether or he does not, get ready for this to happen every time someone with even marginal success retires.

Questions this week include Jacob Rosen (@JacobLRosen) who wants to know who we would be willing to give up for a reliever, Andrew Goring (@goringhole) who wants to know if Andrew Miller's contract would be a deterrent for the Tribe, and some Tigers blog called Bless You Boys (@BlessYouBoys) who want to know if they can have Francisco Lindor. Spoiler: No.

Jason and I also discussed the first-half troubles of Yan Gomes, potential trade scenarios, and a whole bunch of things not related to baseball -- including 20 minutes of Pokemon GO talk. Also, Jason hates Cristiano Ronaldo.

This week's episode clocks in at 64 minutes. Thanks for listening!
