I'm hoping that the answer is 58, but I'd like to know exactly how many consecutive games the Indians can win.

Josh Tomlin takes the mound today and hopes that the answer is at least eight. He faces off against Justin Verlander, who will try to beat the Indians for the first time this season. I repeat: The Tigers have not beaten the Indians yet this year.

Interesting tidbits for today: Yan Gomes is riding a five game hitting streak. While that's nothing crazy, many Indians fans hope that it is a sign of a turnaround for the backstop. Yan has struggled quite a lot this year, and there have been times when I've wondered if he'll ever be competent again.

Last night, Francisco Lindor went deep twice, both solo shots. He has six home runs this month, and he's been hitting at least .300 since June 12th. It's the best, really.

Final thought: our foes put together an interesting analysis of Tomlin's year.
