Carlos Carrasco is back!

The Indians will get a big boost Thursday evening with the return of one of their young star pitchers. Carrasco, who will be making his first start since straining his hamstring April 24 in Detroit, owns a 2.40 ERA and 24 strikeouts through 22 innings this year. The right-hander made a rehab start Saturday and things went well, but is expected to be on a pitch count for Thursday's outing.

The Royals will counter with Yordano Ventura, who enters with a 4-3 record and a 5.17 ERA. The 24-year-old throws hard and features plus stuff at times, but has struggled mightily over the last month, posting a 6.59 ERA in May with 21 strikeouts and 21 walks allowed.
