Cleveland Indians send Salazar to the mound with a chance to take the series

A win today would put the Indians at 4-3 on their exhausting (for the fans, anyway) west coast trip. Also, sorry for the scheduling error.

I know that you're hurting after last night's loss. I'm hurting, too. That doesn't mean that everything is over for us in this series. We're sending Danny Salazar to the mound today, and he's been really good. Fangraphs says he's the 20th most valuable pitcher in the game, Baseball Reference says he's the 3rd most valuable, and I say he's a handsome devil with a bright future.

We've got to stay positive! The Indians still hold the lead in the AL Central. They'll be facing David Huff, who is pitching for only the second time this season. Certainly whatever bizarre space-time anomalies that allowed so many balls to sneak through the Indians defense will have been patched up by the Overseer by this afternoon.

I know you're hurting, kid. But if the Indians win this one today, they get through a tricky west coast road trip with a 4-3 record. You know what that record looks like over the course of a season? Ninety-two games won and a trip to the playoffs.

You want to win championships, don't you kid? Then chin up, and let's post some encouraging banter on the internet.
