After defeating the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday, the Cleveland Indians snagged the division lead from the Chicago White Sox. The Kansas City Royals snatched the lead away on Sunday. With another win today and a Royals loss, the Indians can sneak back on top, but don't be fooled: the AL Central may be a very close three-way race for the rest of the season.

Tonight the Indians turn their attention to the Texas Rangers, which enters today's contest with a 29-21 record and the AL West lead. Derek Holland and Josh Tomlin take the mound for each team. Although, excuse me, I meant to say the undefeated Josh Tomlin. It feels a bit silly that the Indians skipped him in the rotation during the first week of the season. Here's your "Wait, what?" stat of the week: The Indians are 16-2 in Tomlin's starts since he returned from shoulder surgery

Also worth noting: it is Memorial Day, a day set aside to honor those who died while serving the country. As expected, many Americans use this as an excuse to get hammered. Be careful on the roads if you're heading out to the stadium, going to the store, or driving six hours west like me.
