Can memories of a recent Tigers sweep inspire the Tribe to take this next series? Only Josh Tomlin can say for sure.

Cleveland Indians vs. Detroit Tigers

Tuesday, May 3, 2016. 6:10 PM ET, Progressive Field

Radio: WTAM

We are now full ensconced in May Baseball, and the Tribe sits a worrisome six games out of first in the AL Central and three games back from a Wild Card spot. There's a lot - I mean, alot - of baseball left to be played, but continue to lose series is not doing this team any favours. Today they host a Tigers team that they recently blew away for a three-game sweep in Detroit. A similar sweep, or even just a series win, would go a long way in restoring the team's confidence and the fan base's confidence in them.

After a short but brutal road trip, it'll be great to be back in the friendly confines of Progressive Field, among dozens of adoring fans. The Little Cowboy looks to right the ship after a only moderately disastrous outing against the Twins last week. His opponent, Justin Verlander, looks to continue a string of solid, if not impressive starts holding opponents to three runs or fewer.

Let's Go Tribe!
