Cleveland Indians vs. Minnesota Twins

Saturday, May 14, 2016. 4:10 p.m. ET. Progressive Field

TV: FS1,

Radio: WTAM

Corey Kluber's last two starts did not begin in ideal fashion. Granted, he was able to spin the May 4 start against the Detroit Tigers into a fantastic complete game shutout, but he only did so after working his way out of self-inflicted jams in the first couple of innings. He was not so lucky in his last outing against the Houston Astros when he allowed five earned runs on five hits in just 2.2 innings of work. What kind of beginning (and end) will see from The Klubot today?

If yesterday's game against the Minnesota Twins was any indication, Kluber will need to be in top shape to avoid letting Byung-Ho Park get away with baseball murder in broad daylight. The South Korean first baseman hit a pair of bombs off of Josh Tomlin yesterday, and he will likely be looking to do the same against Kluber today.

The Twins send Ervin Santana to the mound in this battle of staff aces. Santana has had some issues with walks in the early parts of 2016, but he has been able to keep his runs allowed (as well as his FIP) at a reasonable level thanks to his 20.4 percent strikeout rate, which would be the second-best of his career if kept up through an entire season.

With Juan Uribe getting the day off and Michael Brantley recently placed on the disabled list, Rajai Davis has been shifted to left field with Tyler Naquin taking center field duties. Jose Ramirez will start at third and (hooray!) Carlos Santana will bat leadoff for the second game in a row.
