Yesterday the Indians obliterated the Tigers 10-1. Today, they will attempt to complete a three game sweep. This would be an extremely satisfying way to begin their eight game road trip. Carlos Carrasco gets the start against Shane Greene, and Carlos Santana leads off for the third consecutive game. While a two game sample isn't nearly enough evidence to draw definite conclusion, I'm impulsive enough to say that Santana should lead off forever and ever amen.
Yan Gomes and Rajai Davis get the day off, and will be replaced by Roberto Perez and Tyler Naquin. It's safe to say that Gomes earned a rest after his performance yesterday: 3 for 5, a double, a home run, and 5 RBIs. He raised his average forty points. FORTY. I'm also excited to see Naquin earn another start in center field. I'd like to see him work the count during his at-bats; despite hitting .310 in 29 at bats this season, he is also getting on base at a .310 clip in 29 plate appearances. Ain't got no walks yet.
More than anything else, I'm hoping for some exciting Sunday baseball. Let's go Tribe!
