Game Thread: Carlos Carrasco navigates his way to the mound against Mariners

Few things can cure an ailing ball club like a visit from the Seattle Mariners. At least I hope so.

The Tribe is coming off a disappointing series loss against a previously cold Mets team. Ace #1 struggled on Sunday, in part thanks to some disastrous outfield defense, so it's up to Ace #2 to right the ship against the incoming Mariners. The M's are coming off aseries win agains the Yankees after two tough series losses prior to that, so maybe they have some momentum or whatever, I guess. The good news is that Carlos Carrasco is good at baseball, probably better than his opponent tonight, Wade Miley. Cookie was a bit shaky in his first start, but lights out in his last one.

The real question is whether or not the Tribe offense can come through. Which effort was more indicative of the real talent level on this team - the seven run outburst on Saturday, or the anemic stickballers from Sunday? Throw into the mix the fact that Miley is a lefty, and it's likely the offense has its work cut out for them tonight (not that that has slowed down a certain second baseman) Count on Cookie to keep them in it, but the bats need to come alive. Let's Go Tribe!
