Morning News and Notes for Monday, April 11, 2016.

It's been a tough weather week for the Indians and their fans.  Alas, brighter days are ahead!  With games in Tampa Bay's dome and a much nicer forecast next weekend back in town, the Tribe might actually get a little rhythm going!

Weird, wet week for Indians |

For the many of us who are used to the "unique" April weather of the Midwest, this really isn't that much of a surprise.  But still, it hasn't been fun.  From Zack Mesiel:

Consider the first seven days of the Indians' regular-season slate.

Monday: Postponed because of snow flurries, bone-chilling temperatures
Tuesday: 34 degrees at first pitch, the coldest season opener in franchise history
Wednesday: Rain showers pushed back first pitch by 12 minutes
Thursday: Postponed because of rain
Friday: 39 degrees at first pitch, with strong winds and intermittent snow flurries
Saturday: 32 degrees at first pitch and windy
Sunday: Postponed because of rain showers

Weather impacts Chisenhall |

The Indians want Chiz to get enough at-bats during his rehab stint, but that awesome Midwest weather pops up again to affect the Tribe.

Indians trade Walters and Ramsey for cash | LGT

The famous cash considerations is coming over from the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for outfielders Zach Walters and James Ramsey.  The Tribe had 40-man roster issues and these semi-young guys were obviously very expendable.  It's a shame they didn't work out here for the Indians, but I still think Walters has enough potential to be worth the lottery ticket.
