Terry Francona has been masterful in leading the Indians  to the doorstep of a World Series championship despite injuries that would make lesser organizations throw their hands up and cry to the heavens in agony. Yesterday he got his reward - the Indians picked up his options through 2020.

Terry Francona may make some head-scratching in-game decisions, but he also puts his players in a position to succeed. He is an intriguing mix of SABR-metrics and hunches - he sees the numbers, but he also knows what his players can and cannot do. His players love him. The fans love him. And he loves it here.
