It’s showtime!
The American League Division Series opens up Thursday evening with plenty of storylines and here’s hoping for a fantastic series and some good fortune for our Tribe.
The series opener features a matchup of young right-handers. Trevor Bauer will start on the mound for the Indians, and enters with a 12-8 record and 4.26 ERA. This will be Bauer’s first postseason start. He has struggled towards the end of the season, posting a 6.39 ERA over his last six starts.
The Red Sox counter with Rick Porcello, he of the amazing 22-4 record and 3.15 ERA. While his 21.2 K% from this year was just so-so, he showed amazing control with a crazy good 3.6 BB%. Porcello is definitely a Cy Young candidate and will present a big challenge for Tribe hitters.
