Josh Tomlin looks to take Tribe to ALCS

A rainout yesterday doesn't change the fact that one more Cleveland Indians victory will eliminate Boston from the playoffs and send the good guys one step closer to the World Series.

Cleveland leads ALDS 2-0

--

Yesterday would have been a chance for the Cleveland Indians to sweep the Boston Red Sox out of the ALDS, but mother nature had other plans. Thankfully, the forecast at Fenway today looks to be much more conducive to some playoff baseball, and the Tribe once again sets their sights on a victory to propel them into the American League Championship Series, where they will face the Toronto Blue Jays (enjoy the broadcast from home, Jonathan Lucroy).

Because the ALDS was pushed back a day, the Cleveland Indians will want to do everything they can to prevent a Game 4 and Game 5 because the extra day will have reset Boston's rotation back to the top. While the Tribe has already bested Rick Porcello and David Price, I don't want to take any other chances against two very good starting pitchers. So today, the Cleveland Indians will need to beat Clay Buchholz and hope that Josh Tomlin doesn't give up 64 home runs. Here's the starting 9 for your Tribe:

Today's Lineups
