MLB Pipeline today announced their top 10 first base prospects in baseball, including Cleveland Indians power-hitting prospect Bobby Bradley at fourth. Bradley, who the Let’s Go Tribe community voted as the Tribe’s No. 4 overall prospect, hit a Midwest League-leading 27 home runs in 2015. Oh, and he is only 19.
Bradley's tremendously powerful season at Class-A ball in 2015 was enough to earn him the Lou Boudreau award as the organization’s top hitting prospect. Bradley will need to work on his plate approach as he advances through the minors as he struck out in 31.8 percent of his plate appearances in 2015. But again, he is only 19. Time is on his side right now.
Ahead of Bradley on MLB Pipeline’s list of top first baseman are A.J. Reed (Astros), Josh Bell (Pirates), and Dominic Smith (Mets). At the end of last year MLB Pipeline had Bradley ranked as the Indians top first base prospect and their seventh prospect overall.
If you cannot get enough of Bradley belting home runs (and I bet you cannot), MLB.com also included a highlight video. Enjoy.
