Indians @ Royals
Friday, September 25, 2015, 8:10 PM ET, Kauffman Stadium
TV: MLBTV, STO
Radio: WTAM
It's off to Kansas City, as the Indians head to the show me state for a crucial three game series against the Royals. The Indians sit four games back in the race for the second Wild Card in the American League and need a good weekend to stay in the hunt.
Carlos Carrasco will start for the Indians, looking to pick up his 14th win this season. The 28 year-old enters with a 3.62 ERA and an impressive 196 strikeouts in just 171.2 innings. In his last outing, Carrasco gave up two earned runs in five innings of work against the White Sox.
The Royals will counter with right-hander Edinson Volquez. Volquez, oddly, owns 13 wins and a 3.62 ERA this year, just like Carrasco. Volquez likes to pound hitters with a hard sinker, throwing that two seamer over 38% of the time this season.
