Cleveland Indians and Cody Anderson look to keep pace in the AL Wild Card chase

The Indians and Tigers face in game two of a pivotal four game series Friday evening. The Tribe are four games behind in the race for the second Wild Card in the American League, while the Tigers struggles could mean manager Brad Ausmus is on the chopping block.

Cody Anderson will start on the mound for the Indians and has been very good since returning from the disabled list. The big right-hander has held opposing batters to just a .130 average over those three starts. Anderson is 3-3 on the year with a 3.72 ERA.

The Tigers will turn to Justin Verlander, who has also been good lately. The veteran has posted a 1.78 ERA over his last nine starts.
