Lonnie Chisenhall exits early with possible injury as Cleveland Indians lose again

In Tuesday's news & notes, Jason Kipnis went on the DL, Lonnie Chisenhall left the game with whiplash, and the Tribe then lost a 3-0 lead. All in a day's work ...

And just to add injury to insult, RF Lonnie Chisenhall left the game in the 4th with a whiplash that he suffered trying to dive for a catch in the previous inning. He will be re-evaluated today to see if he can play.

Unfortunately, switching positions does entail a known increased injury risk: "Over the past five seasons for which I have detailed injury data, players making a move have a 30 percent increase in the risk of injury if they've never played the position before." Source
