Trevor Bauer is slumping. Hard. His last three starts against the Minnesota Twins (6.1 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 8 SO, 1 BB), the New York Yankees (3.1 IP, 6 ER, 1 SO, 2 BB), and the Boston Red Sox (1.2 IP, 6 H, 5 ER, 1 SO, 1 BB) have been progressively worse. Bauer’s outlook does not look much brighter tonight as he faces one of those teams again when the Cleveland Indians close out their four-game series against the Yankees.
The Indians have a chance at winning the series, as they won the first two before dropping last night’s contest, but it would require another shot in the arm for the offense, which looked dormant last night.
If last night is any indication, the Tribe will not have to actually win for the game to count, just be "in the neighborhood" and we’ll be good.
Let's go Tribe!
