Alongside a giant bullpen, a large barrel of bubble gum, and eating an unhealthy amount of popsicles, Terry Francona has made a name for himself in Cleveland with the little red scooter that he rides to and from Progressive Field for the team’s home games. The scooter has propelled the Tribe’s skipper ever since he joined the team back in 2013, and the two of them are now getting their own bobblehead.
Francona has never hid the fact that he zips his way over to games on the scooter, saying that he lives closer to the ballpark than he does where he parks his car. Most recently, the vehicle made headlines in Spring Training when an Indians employee moving it for a photoshoot wrecked it.
The Indians officially unveiled the masterpiece today after teasing such a thing yesterday via Twitter. It was worth the tease and the wait because just look at this thing:
You can pick up your own Terry Francona scooter bobblehead on September 12 when the Indians take on the Detroit Tigers at home.
