Can you believe that 2015 marks CC Sabathia's 15th season in the majors? Me neither. Sabathia is just 34 years old, only 5 years older than Corey Kluber, but it looks like the innings have begun to take their toll. Last year Sabathia threw only 46 innings (in his first 13 season he'd thrown at least 180 innings) and he comes into tonight's game with a 5.34 ERA (72 ERA+). The Yankees have a fantastic bullpen, and an excellent offense, but their starting rotation may be what prevents them from making the playoffs, or at least winning the division. And Sabathia's struggles are a big part of why the rotation has been so bad for New York.

Michael Brantley, who was traded for CC Sabathia in 2008, is not in the lineup, presumably because of last night's marathon. In fact, there are no left-handed hitters in the lineup.
