--
Today has been one of the busiest days of the season in terms of rumors prior to a game even starting, but there is still baseball to be played. On the mound for the Cleveland Indians will be Trevor Bauer, who did not look great in his last outing against the Cincinnati Reds. In only 4.0 innings, Bauer allowed five runs on seven hits, two walks, and two home runs.
Bauer will hope to rebound against the Chicago White Sox, who have lost six out of their last seven games, and were not very competitive in any of them.
The biggest news of today was undoubtedly the wave of trade rumors, first brought on by Scott Kazmir being traded from the Oakland Athletics to the Houston Astros. Following that news, it was revealed that the Indians are open to trading third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall, they will NOT trade Mike Aviles while his four-year-old daughter continues her battle against leukemia and they have talked with the Toronto Blue Jays about possibly trading Carlos Carrasco. We still do not know if the Tribe are definitively sellers or buyers yet, so it may still be early to go on hug watch for players potentially being traded during the game tonight.
Regardless, it is time to watch some Indians baseball while keeping Twitter open on a laptop. Just as the baseball gods intended.
Let's go Tribe!
