Cody Anderson takes the hill for his second major league start. He's got a tough task ahead of him, trying to top the 7 and 2/3 shutout innings he pitched in his debut. Speaking of shutouts, the Indians hope to avoid their third in a row after yesterday's twin disaster. The team is slipping further and further into the abyss, and there is perhaps no better way to reinforce that than playing a series at Tropicana field. Not just because the Rays are tied for 1st in the AL East, but because the stadium itself is the physical manifestation of severe depression.

Nearly every hitter in the Indians lineup not named Jason Kipnis has been terrible this season. Nonetheless, MLB rules force us to run out eight other guys to round out this putrid excuse for an offense. Here are those guys, plus Kipnis:

Today's Lineups

CLEVELAND INDIANS TAMPA BAY RAYS
Jason Kipnis - 2B Kevin Kiermaier - CF
Francisco Lindor - SS Grady Sizemore - DH
Michael Brantley - LF Evan Longoria - 3B
David Murphy - DH David DeJesus - LF
Carlos Santana - 1B Logan Forsythe - 2B
Brandon Moss - RF Steven Souza - RF
Yan Gomes - C Asdrubal Cabrera - SS
Giovanny Urshela - 3B Marc Krauss - 1B
Michael Bourn - CF Rene Rivera - C
Cody Anderson - RHP Nate Karns - RHP

Take heart, though, Tribe fans. It seems like things can only get better from here. There's no better night than tonight to start turning it all around.
