The Indians lost today's first game, and are assured of losing yet another three-game series. If they lose the night cap, they'll be assured of a losing record at the season's halfway point. It's just about time to find reasons other than postseason aspirations for following the season. To try and stem the bleeding, the Indians will turn to Toru Murata, a righty making his MLB debut.

Kipnis had his 20-game hitting streak snapped in this afternoon's game. (He still has his 28-game home hitting streak.) Perhaps he can get a new one started this evening. Maybe a bunch of guys can get something going. The fun thing about maybe is you can say it for almost anything you want. Maybe Mike Trout will fake his death, then return under a different name and sign with the Indians. Maybe.
