Carlos Carrasco faces the Tigers who send Justin Verlander out for his 1st start of 2015

That was the best picture of a cookie I could find in the system... unless I went with the hilarious ones with Pope Francis' face on them.

This just in: The Tigers are still unbelievably annoying. If you stuck Miguel Cabrera with the 2013 Astros, they'd lose 110 games. But of their 52 wins, 18 of them would be against the Indians. Intentionally walking him clearly isn't the answer, as pitching defensively is not a confidence-inspiring approach. The key is to keep him in the yard. And that is Danny Salazar's weakness. Unfortunately, Cabrera also has 8 hits and 1 HR in his 21 career ABs against today's starter, Carlos "Cookie" Carrasco (1.030 OPS).

The good news is that Justin Verlander won't pitch as well as David Price did yesterday (he pitched a Maddux in a 4-0 win). Hopefully, his career downfall continues this afternoon, in his first start of 2015.

ERA FIP xFIP WAR (fg) GS
Verlander, 2014 4.54 3.74 4.19 2.8 32
Carrasco, 2015 4.35 2.78 2.85 1.7 12
