Having lost the first two in the series, in largely self-inflicted fashion, the Tribe returns to Progressive Field this afternoon attempting to avoid a sweep.

Carlos Carrasco takes to the mound for the Tribe. On the surface, his 4.74 ERA is very poor, but that number isn't supported by his peripherals and he has an excellent 2.63 FIP. In fact, August Fagerstrom pointed out on Twitter last night that this is the largest current ERA/FIP discrepancy in MLB.

The Rangers put up the 35yo righty Colby Lewis, who started the season well but then struggled when the two sides met 11 days ago, conceding five earned runs on seven hits and three walks in 5 IP. He also gave up five runs in his last start against the Yankees, but did manage to go 6.2 IP and record the win.

Today's Lineups

TEXAS RANGERS CLEVELAND INDIANS

Thankfully, the X-rays on Carlos Santana's wrist came back negative (after he was hit by a pitch in the 9th last night) and he is in the line-up today. Yan Gomes is being rested on alternate days at the moment, while Jose Ramirez and Brandon Moss are also on the bench (and of course Ryan Raburn doesn't go against RH starters).

Today's minor league schedule is as follows (see here for live scores):

7:05pm ET: Columbus (25-21) @ Charlotte (26-19) with Toru Murata starting for the Clippers.

5:05pm ET (double-header): Trenton (24-21) @ Akron (20-25) in which Will Roberts and presumably the newly promoted Adam Plutko will pitch the two games for the Ducks.

7:00pm ET: Lynchburg (20-25) @ Winston-Salem (18-27) with Luis Lugo going for the Hillcats.

11:00am ET: West Michigan (24-22) @ Lake County (24-22) with Sean Brady up.
