It's a little difficult to get excited about a single win for the Indians, even one as exciting as the 8-3 victory over Texas last night. With the team's penchant for following up victories with immediate losses, this season has been a roller coaster and until a winning streak can finally be accomplished, I don't think I'll too beside myself with optimism. With that said though, tonight's match up could be a good one, as we have Danny Salazar going up against the right-handed Colby Lewis.

Salazar looks to follow up a fantastic performance that he had in his last start in Cleveland against the Minnesota Twins. In that May 10th start, Sal threw 7.0 innings, only allowed 1 hit and struck out 11 as he shut down the red-hot Twins batters. So far in his 5 starts this season he's struck out at least 10 batters in 3 of them, and his lowest strikeout total was against the Kansas City Royals back in April when he only struck out 7 in 6.0 innings.

The Rangers sit at 5th in the American League with their team 20.7% strikeout rate, so it could be the perfect storm for Salazar to run up the K totals.

On the offensive side of the ball, Jason Kipnis comes into the game riding a 7-game hit streak, as well as 6 straight games where he's reached base at least 3 times. It doesn't look like Michael Bourn will be winning back his leadoff job any time soon, but he's improved in the bottom of the lineup (sporting a 118 wRC+ since the move), so it may be better for everyone in the end.

Let's go Tribe!
