Carrasco leads hobbled Indians against Quintana and the Sox

The lefty-dominated lineup is prone to struggling against lefty pitcher, so it's up to Cookie to lead the charge today.

When nothing else can save us, there's Carlos Carrasco. Cookie takes the hill for his second start of the season, this time against the hated division rival White Sox. In his first start, he struck out 10 batters and walked just one over six and a third shutout innings. With the wear and tear the bullpen has incurred lately, it would be phenomenal to get another 6+ solid innings out of Carrasco, and hope that the day off allowed the back end of the pen to rest and recover enough to close things out.

The Sox are answering with Jose Quintana, a lefty coming off a strong 2014 season. He got eaten alive in his first start of 2015, though, so hopefully the Tribe lineup can get to him a bit. It'll be a tough task with a lefty-heavy order, especially missing two of our biggest offensive threats. Hope for the best, but pray for a dominant out by Carrasco to get us through this one.

Let's Go Tribe!
