Indians and White Sox face off in Monday's Cactus League action

One week from now the game thread will be for Opening Day. So we've got that going for us... which is nice.

Trevor Bauer gets the ball today, in what should be his penultimate start of spring training. He's likely to work a short outing on Saturday, so this afternoon could be his last extended appearance before things count. He hasn't walked any batters in 15.1 innings this spring, which has been great to see, given that free passes were such a problem for him last year. He's had some trouble with the long ball though, which hopefully he can avoid today.

Today's Indians starting lineup:

1. Jose Ramirez (SS)
2. Mike Aviles (2B)
3. Michael Brantley (LF)
4. Carlos Santana (1B)
5. Brandon Moss (DH)
6. David Murphy (RF)
7. Bradley Zimmer (CF)
8. Willie "Mays" Brett Hayes (C)
9. Ryan Rohlinger (3B)

The bottom of that lineup includes a trio of guys who won't be traveling to Houston for Opening Day, but one of those three is Bradley Zimmer, one of the top prospects in the organization. I'm happy he's gotten some time with the big league team this spring, and I'm hoping he's in Cleveland come the third week of April, 2017.
