Today's scheduled Indians pitchers:

  • Shaun Marcum
  • Scott Atchison
  • Kyle Crockett
  • Charles Brewer
  • Dustin Molleken
  • Bryan Price

Marcum is an intriguing option. He's been with the organization for more than a year now, but has yet to get himself fully healthy. If he is back to 100%, he could certainly push for a spot in the rotation. Columbus is more likely, but the first couple guys in Columbus are almost always going to start some games for the Indians at some point during the season.

Yordano Ventura will start for Kansas City. Some find it that the Royals are letting the Tribe get a second look at their would-be ace, whereas the Indians have thrown Corey Kluber against non-divisional opponents. That sounds like good strategy, but I doubt it makes much of a difference, and I don't recall it being an issue or discussion point in the past.

Today's Indians starting lineup:

  1. Jose Ramirez (SS)
  2. David Murphy (RF)
  3. Jason Kipnis (2B)
  4. Carlos Santana (1B)
  5. Ryan Raburn (DH)
  6. Tyler Holt (LF)
  7. Tyler Naquin (CF)
  8. Roberto Perez (C)
  9. Ryan Rohlinger (3B)

Probably not the Opening Day starting nine, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. Frankly, having two Tylers and two Ryans on the roster would make things pretty confusing around here.
