An extension for Corey Kluber? Zack Meisel of Cleveland.com lays out the pros and cons of an extension, from both the perspective of Kluber, and of the front office. I think there's a figure both sides would be happy with, and I hope that in the process of discussing an extension, the two sides figure that figure out.

What makes a great curveball? Eno Sarris takes a look, and both Kluber and Cody Allen are involved in the process.

What could Tribe do for do-over in '97? Jordan Bastian looked back at Game 7 of the 1997 World Series to see what the Indians might have done differently to get the outcome we all wanted. (...because yesterday was Groundhog Day)

Giambi might take a year or two away from baseball before getting into coaching. Yesterday I mentioned that the Indians have a standing job offer out to Giambi, for some sort of non-playing role. Bastian is on the story, and passes along word from Terry Francona that if Giambi retires from playing, he may spend some time with his family before returning to the clubhouse in an instructional role.

The Rockies re-signed LGFT Rafael Betancourt, leading Jeff Sullivan to write about some various bits of Betancourt trivia.

The Rockies signed LGFT Jon Axford too.

Speaking of LGFT, Ubaldo Jimenez is confident he can rebound from his terrible 2014.

In a last bit of former Indians news, the Braves, now run by former Tribe GM John Hart, plan to have less tomfoolery in 2015.
