With the Tribe's miniscule playoff hopes finally dashed, they look to finish the season on a high note. There is still an outside chance for the Indians to have a winning record, but it will take all that they have as they will need to sweep the visiting Red Sox from Boston.
- Friday 7:10 PM: Henry Owens (L) vs. Josh Tomlin (R)
- Saturday 7:10 PM: Craig Breslow (L) vs. Corey Kluber (R)
- Sunday 3:10 PM: Rick Porcello (R) vs. Danny Salazar (R)
After a month of playing every team in the division twice, the Indians will end the season at home by facing the Boston Red Sox. These teams last met in mid-August when the Sox took two of three in Fenway. Salazar beat Matt Barnes in the opener 8-2, but Boston feasted on Bauer, winning 9-1. The rubber game also went to the Sox as they hit four home runs off Corey Kluber and Joe Kelly pitched very well.
The Next Week: The Offseason commences. This will likely include some fishing and hunting, as well as watching college football and pro football before the NHL and NBA get their seasons underway.
Playoff Watch: Blue Jays at Rays, Royals at Twins, Angels at Rangers, Yankees at Orioles.

Offensively, this team can hit, and score, as they are in the top third of the AL in most offensive categories. But the pitching staff has really done them in as they have had many injuries and some just plain bad pitching as well. They are also a fairly poor defensive team.

The Red Sox put up a real good 284/336/520 line in the last series. They did hit five homers, with four off of Kluber. Shaw went absolutely berserk, with a ridiculous 636/667/1848 line, and two of the five homers.

# includes stats with Giants
Owens was the Red Sox first round supplemental pick in 2011. He debuted in August and now has 10 career starts. Two of his past three starts have gone more than 7 innings without allowing any runs. LGFT Breslow slid into the rotation last week after Joe Kelly went down for the season. That was his first start ever and he pitched four shutout innings. He does have 26 career IP against the Tribe. Porcello missed most of August and was much better in September, posting a 3.74 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and a 9.3 K/9 covering 6 starts and 43.1 IP. He does own a 3.40 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 5.6 K/9 in his career 20 Tribe starts while with the Tigers.

Prediction: With all of the normal starters hurt or being rested for both teams, there is no prediction. Your guess is as good as mine.
Conclusion: And that will wrap up the series previews for 2015. I hope they were of benefit to all LGT readers during this very trying season.
