Would it be inappropriate to offer Josh Tomlin six dollars and twenty-five cents?

Can you believe it?! Indians News!!

Brandon Moss and 5 members of the 2013 Indians filed for arbitration yesterday. Moss is likely to get the most money of the bunch and I'd assume Tomlin will make the least.

Laugh at the Rest of Baseball News

• James Shields is a free agent. He pitches. Pretty well. Perhaps in big games. But probably not so much. The Diamondbacks are a baseball team. Because they are a baseball team, they need pitching. But they need pitching even more than everybody does. According to MLB.com's depth charts, their #1 is Josh Collmenter. He's backed by one of the De La Rosas, Jeremy Hellickson, a/A Webster and Vidal Frickin' Nuno. So yeah, Shields would probably double that group's WAR.

But here's the kicker: The Diamondbacks hope that Shields is drawn to them because they're lightyears behind the rest of the league when it comes to analytics. Specifically, because, take it away, Arizona General Manager: "we have more baseball people – he probably sees us as a true baseball team vs. some of the other teams out here"

Mmhmm.

• There will be no Lame Duck Year of Ned Yost in KC. The Royals extended their buntin' manager through the 2016 baseball season.
