The Indians conclude their 2014 season with today's finale. With 3 innings today, House would become only the 9th lefty in franchise history to pitch 100+ innings for the Indians in his first MLB season. That doesn't really mean much of anything, but hey. Meanwhile, pinch hitting could change things, but if the Tribe starting nine holds all game, a number of the regulars will have gotten an early start on their offseason, including the top two position players on the tean, Michael Brantley and Yan Gomes. Most of today's starters will not be in the lineup for the team's next game. (At least they'd better not be.)

Today games with AL playoff implications

Twins (Gibson) @ Tigers (Price*), 1:08 ET

Royals (Ventura) @ White Sox (Bassitt), 2:10 ET

Athletics (Gray) @ Rangers (Martinez), 3:05 ET

Angels (Rasmus) @ Mariners (Hernandez**), 4:10 ET

*This one has meaning for Tribe fans because Price currently 6 strikeouts behind Corey Kluber for the MLB lead. Here's to hoping the Twins put the ball in play.

**This one has even more meaning for Tribe fans because Felix is Kluber's only real competition for the AL Cy Young. A scoring change knocked .16 off Hernandez's ERA last night, and if he pitches a gem today, I suspect he'll win. Here's to hoping he gets roughed up instead.
