Did the Indians do the right thing by trading Asdrubal Cabrera?

Were the Indians right to trade Cabrera? Did they get the right kind of return for him? Is it Lindor time, or what?

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Alright, it's now been two days since Asdrubal Cabrera, the most tenured player on the team and the lone remaining link to the 2007 ALCS team, was traded away. If you look at the Indians' 25-man roster from even five years ago today, not a single player on it is still with the team (which tells you quite a bit about the organization's drafting/player development from around 2005 to 2009). As we did yesterday with Justin Masterson, today we'll take the opportunity to weigh in as a community on the move.

More from Let's Go Tribe

As with the Masterson deal, you can find out coverage of the Cabrera trade through the sidebar on the right. It includes a look at Zach Walters, the prospect who came back from Washington, a debate about whether or not it's time to promote Francisco Lindor, and a find look back at some of the best times from Cabrera's eight years with the team.

So, with a little more time to reflect on Cabrera's departure, how are you feeling about it? Was the team right to move him? Are you happy with the return? Should they promote Lindor now?
