Indians vs Dodgers Game Thread (Tuesday): Can the Indians get more than one hit tonight?

I'm not the most demanding of baseball fans, but I would really like it if the Indians can somehow get more than hit tonight.

After tonight's game, the Indians will not play a game that starts after 8:10 PM Eastern. In other words, this is the final game of the season that you'd consider a late game. The Indians finish off their trip with a 3:10 PM game tomorrow afternoon, and after that, the farthest west they'll have to travel is Kansas City,

Tonight the Indians face a rather familiar foe. Josh Beckett, the pitcher we all love to hate, is pitching for the Dodgers. Expect absurdly long innings, especially if (a big if, given how the offense has gone lately) any runners get on. Justin Masterson, who missed his last scheduled start, will take the mound for the Indians, and given how he's pitched lately, there's no telling what kind of start we're going to get from him.

For those of you who live outside the Cleveland area and have MLB.TV, do yourself a favor and pull up the Dodgers feed tonight. Vin Scully has been doing Dodgers games since 1950, and at age 86 is still better at what he does than anyone in the play-by-play profession. Last night he made an aside about the 1954 Indians, remarking at how dominant the Tribe pitching staff was. After a couple seconds I realized that he wasn't just making an historical observation, but sharing with us with a personal recollection. Tonight and tomorrow are very likely the final Dodgers-Indians games Scully will announce (he doesn't travel east of the Rockies, and the Indians won't return to Dodger Stadium for another six seasons), so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity to listen to a legend.
