After making a number of spot starts for the Indians over the last 13 months, Trevor Bauer has finally been brought to Cleveland with the intention of keeping him here. Nothing like a duel against one of the best pitchers in baseball to make a guy feel welcome!

Tonight's lineup feature Lonnie batting cleanup, making him one of the few players in baseball trusted with that sort of role against some pitchers, while being buried on the bench against others.

In addition to Bauer, Jason Giambi and Justin Sellers were also added to the roster this afternoon, making for a lot of hellos and goodbyes in the clubhouse. Neither of those two will start tonight (or any other night, if I have my way).

Today's Indians minor league affiliate games

Triple-A: Columbus Clippers lost to Syracuse 5-3*

*Danny Salazar gave up 5 runs in 2.2 innings, hopefully because he's determined to work on his -off-speed pitches, and not worry much about the results for the time being.

Double-A: Akron RubberDucks (Toru Murata) @ Altoona, 6:30 ET

High-A: Carolina Mudcats (TBD) @ Wilmington, 6:35 ET

Single-A: Lake County Captains beat Fort Wayne 7-6
