Let's Talk Tribe (podcast) Ep. 20: This losing streak sure is a bummer

Jason and Phil try and talk one another off the ledge as the Indians end April on a six-game losing streak...

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

My guest this week is our very own Phil Kehres. We discuss the first month of the season, with a heavy focus on what a mess things seem to be. We debate who should be in the starting rotation, discuss Carlos Santana and his three-week slump, Yan Gomes' defensive struggles, and which players on the team are most and least likely to turn things around (or are already turning things around). We also talked about the few things that have been going well, like Corey Kluber and David Murphy. Asdrubal Cabrera's time coming to a close and the age of Francisco Lindor approaching come up too. Finally, we ended by each making a prediction about who the team's top player will be for the month of May. Given Phil's superstition and preference for avoiding the jinx, we'll all know who to blame if a certain someone doesn't pitch well.

This week's episode clocks in at 33 minutes.
