Here are the latest minor-league numbers. On the rosters you'll see some color highlights:
Prospects That Matter: Yellow
These players were selected based on a rating system that took into account their relative age, level, and performance, which was also adjusted by position and role (starter/reliever). You can read much about this here, here, and here.
Prospects of Interest: Orange
These are players who didn't meet PTM for one reason or another but in my (subjective) mind worthy of interest to the casual fan. For instance, players who didn't meet Plate Appearance or Innings thresholds weren't included in the PTM ratings, and PTM didn't count short-season results. So players like Kyle Crockett (not enough innings),Clint Frazier (short-season) and Francisco Mejia (short-season), while they aren't PTMs, are very much worth following.
Columbus Clippers (AAA)
Roster - Schedule - Scoreboard
Lots of roster shifting this week, especially on the position player side. Ryan Rohlinger came off the DL, George Kottaras and Elliot Johnson clear outright waivers and joined the Clippers, and unfortunately Roberto Perez, who was having a great start to the season, was placed on the DL with a hamstring injury.
Akron RubberDucks (AA)
Roster - Schedule - Scoreboard
The Ducks are hitting on all cylinders, from the offense to the starting rotation to the bullpen. Francisco Lindor has been hitting all season, and of late Joe Wendle has gotten hot as well. Other than Cody Anderson, the Akron rotation has been exceptional. And the back end of the Akron bullpen has been practically unhittable; Shawn Armstrong and Kyle Crockett have identical 0.57 ERAs, and cartoonish hit/walk/strikeout rates.
Carolina Mudcats (A+)
Roster - Schedule - Scoreboard
Yesterday the Mudcats placed starting catcher Alex Monsalve on the DL, which will probably create a chain of moves throughout the organization. Josh Martin and Louis Head both deserve promotions to Akron.
Lake County Captains (A-)
Roster - Schedule - Scoreboard
I've moved both Jordan Milbrath and Robbie Aviles into the rotation on my roster, giving the Captains seven starting pitchers. The three "Prospects of Interest" in the rotation (Brown, Kime, Lugo) have all struggled, while three unheralded pitches (Adam Plutko, Aviles, and Milbrath) have done very well. We're still waiting on Kieran Lovegrove to make his debut, which would add another starting pitcher to the roster.
