Cleveland Indians @ Toronto Blue Jays
Wednesday, May 14, 2014, 7:07 p.m. ET, Rogers Centre
TV: STO (CLE), Rogers Sports Network (TOR)
Radio: WTAM (CLE), SN590 (TOR)
The team's strikeout leader and de facto ace takes the hill tonight for the Indians. Corey Kluber is coming off a solid outing against the Rays, having gone 6.2 innings, with 9 strikeouts. Absolutely nothing out of the ordinary in tonight's lineup. With Jason Kipnis out, this is about as "normal" as you can expect to see for Terry Francona's lineup card. Nyjer Morgan will ride the pine as Brantley, Bourn, and Murphy man their usual spots in the outfield.
They'll face 32-year-old Jays righty Dustin McGowan, who has been mediocre this year - he has only pitched beyond six innings in two of his seven starts. McGowan is a bit of a feel-good story. After years of battling injury and looking like his career was over, he broke camp as part of the Jays rotation and was called on to start their home opener despite not having started a major league game since 2011. None of that matters tonight, though - I hope the Indians light him up.
Let's Go Tribe!
