• First, some good news:
C George Kottaras has accepted his outright assignment onto the AAA Columbus roster @CLBClippers
— Cleveland Indians (@tribeinsider) May 14, 2014
• Which comes along with some bad news: To make room on the AAA roster, Roberto Perez was placed on the DL.
• Chris Cotillo reported that the Rangers released mehLGFT Jordan Brown from AAA Round Rock. He had a .609 OPS in AAA for them. WHAT MORE DOES HE HAVE TO DO?
• The White Sox DFA'd their $4M dollar man, Jeff Keppinger after activating him from the disabled list. They owe him $4.5M for next season, too!
• There were rumors that San Diego's Kyle Blanks was on the move via trade, which included a photo of his name NOT ON THE LINEUP CARD. But that latter piece of evidence was the result of him being demoted to AAA.
• John Axford's first confidence-building non-save inning went well last night, as he retired the three Blue Jays he faced 1-2-3.
• Astros pitching injuries: "Jose Cisnero will undergo Tommy John surgery next week; [LGFT] Matt Albers has cortisone shot in right shoulder, will not throw for 10 days."
• Drew Pomeranz started for Oakland last night and pitched the first 5 innings of an Oakland shutout. His 1.14 ERA is downright swoon worthy.
