Series preview
Corey Kluber takes the mound for the Indians today, coming off the back of a tough loss against the Blue Jays on April 19. He'll be looking to rebound against the Royals and I hope he can bring his best stuff and rack up some strikeouts. He might have to, as the Indians defense are currently the worst in the American League with a .973 fielding percentage and 21 errors (tied with the A's). So Corey, don't leave it to your defense to get those outs, just strike out every KC hitter and everything will be fine. His opponent is Bruce Chen and the left-hander has quite a good history against Cleveland (7-1 record, 3.43 ERA in 15 games).
Carlos Santana gets the start at third base and he's still slumping. He's had just 2 hits since April 9 and is stuck with a .130 batting average. Mike Aviles is making a rare appearance in the outfield today, slotting in at left field whilst Michael Brantley will play center, giving Michael Bourn the day off.
