Alright rain, don't mess this up for us!

Cleveland Indians @ Oakland Athletics

Wednesday, Apri 2, 2014 (3:35 ET)

TV: STO (CLE), CSCA (OAK)

Radio: WTAM (CLE), KGMZ (OAK)

Starting pitchers: Corey Kluber (RH) vs. Scott Kazmir (LH)

Starting Lineups:

Indians Athletics
Asdrubal Cabrera (DH) Coco Crisp (CF)
Nick Swisher (1B) Josh Donaldson (DH)
Jason Kipnis (2B) Jed Lowrie (SS)
Carlos Santana (3B) Brandon Moss (1B)
Ryan Raburn (LF) Yoenis Cespedes (LF)
Michael Brantley (CF) Josh Reddick (RF)
Mike Aviles (SS) Alberto Callaspo (3B)
Yan Gomes (C) Derek Norris (C)
Elliot Johnson (RF) Eric Sogard (2B)

This is the time today's game was originally scheduled for. Last night's pitchers have simply been pushed back to this one, but the Indians are using a different lineup than they were going to have last night, with Johnson in right field instead of David Murphy, and Aviles, Cabrera, and Raburn changing positions. I'm hoping Lonnie Chisenhall starts the nightcap. The Indians should get to bring up a 26th player for the night game, an extra reliever or a third catcher are the likely candidates.

Today's other AL Central games:

Royals @ Tigers (1:08 ET) - Jason Vargas vs. Max Scherzer

Twins @ White Sox (2:10 ET) - Kevin Correia vs. Felipe Paulino

Today's Indians minor-league affiliate games:

One more day til MiLB kicks off.

Other MLB news:

Clayton Kershaw, who was placed on the DL with a sore back, but was originally expected to miss only 2 or 3 starts, now seems likely to miss all of April.

Cole Hamels made the first of 3 or 4 rehab starts last night, and should return by the end of the month, while Yu Darvish (who hasn't faced hitters for more than two weeks) is expected back within the next week.

The Rays have signed pitcher Chris Archer to an extension that will guarantee him $25.5 million for 2014-2019, and also includes team options for 2020 and 2021.
