It's been raining in Oakland, and it's expected to continue raining until an hour or so after the game is scheduled to begin. Batting practice was cancelled and there could be delays on the first pitch and/or in the middle of the game. Not what you want to see, especially during the Tribe's only trip there all season.
If the game is played, the Indians will get their first crack at a southpaw, in the form of last season's surprise #5 starter, Scott Kazmir. It's no surprise that Lonnie Chisenhall isn't in the lineup, but I hope he gets a chance to hit later in the game. Aviles replaces Nyjer Morgan from last night's lineup, with Brantley sliding over to cover center.

Clayton Kershaw, who was placed on the DL with a sore back, but was originally expected to miss only 2 or 3 starts, now seems likely to miss all of April.
Yu Darvish, who hasn't faced hitters for more than two weeks, is expected back within the next week.
