Yordano Ventura and Jake Peavy to start Game 6 of the World Series

We're nearing the end...

2014 World Series Game 6

San Francisco Giants @ Kansas City Royals

Tuesday, October 28, 2014, 8:07 ET

It's possible that tonight will be the last MLB game of the year, which is a sad thought. On the other hand, I'm hoping it is in fact the last game of the year, because that will mean the Royals haven't won the World Series. They'll send Yordano Ventura to the mound in hopes that he can pitch well enough to extend the season for another day. San Francisco will counter with Jake Peavy, who injured his thumb while trying to catch a foul ball in the dugout during Game 3. (Next time maybe just duck.)
