LET'S GO TRIBE'S 2014 ALCS PREVIEW

-

My wife and I drove up to her father's farmhouse in Michigan after finishing work yesterday, a trip that takes roughly six hours. This meant I couldn't watch Game 1, but I did listen to it on the radio, as we rolled north through the night. It was a good game, with plenty of compelling action. It would seem karma might have punished Kansas City for squandering the opportunity they were given when Zach Britton walked the bases loaded with nobody out in the top of the 9th, but these Royals seem immune from karma (either that or they're collecting for years and years of bad breaks since the team last had any real success. Kansas City hit fewer home runs this season than any AL team in more than 20 years, but since the postseason began, they've been hitting them left and right.

If Baltimore doesn't win today, there's a decent chance it'll be their last home game of the year, so they'd better find a way to keep KC's mighty bats in the ballpark.
