  • THIS GIF IS MOVING

    DO NOT ADJUST YOUR MONITOR

  • Fuller version: CliffLeeBlankStare.gif
  • Robinson Cano left the game in the 1st inning after being hit in the leg by a Matt Harvey fastball.
  • Mariano Rivera pitched the 8th inning after a standing ovation from everybody. Lleylandus (YoDaddy, I apologize if that wasn't your spelling) was afraid that Joe Nathan would blow it in the 8th if he left the 9th for Rivera. It was a good move, I guess, given the circumstances.
  • The actual best second baseman in the AL, Jason Kipnis, drove home the American League's third run with a double to left field. Domonic Brown joined most other LFs in being surprised at Jason's power.

But that was not before this:
  • Justin Masterson did not appear in the game, something we should be happy about. Maybe his next start gets moved up a day or two now?
